This beautiful image was taken by the brilliant Anna AwburnMelbourne (Naarm) Family Photographer
Hi, I am Jill.
I am a mum to a cheeky girl and a gentle giant greyhound, Tigger. Together with my beloved husband, we live our happy, silly, and sometimes slightly chaotic (in a fun way!) life in the northside of Melbourne.
Motherhood reshaped the way I see time, memories, and what truly matters.
When Iโm not photographing other families, Iโm usually chasing and photographing my daughter and dog! I love documenting our everyday life โก Otherwise, youโll find me cooking in the kitchen (my therapy for life), watching light-hearted romantic K-dramas, or starting all sorts of craft projects that often remain unfinished (wellโฆ Iโm a mum!).
I believe photos are some of the most meaningful things we can have and give to our loved ones. They seal moments and bottle up feelings for our future selves - because we will never be who we are right now again, and your children will never be this small: the laughter, the first steps, family trips, birthdays, and slow Sunday mornings.
I am an INFP โ an introvert who deeply values meaningful connection. As a photographer, I am a quiet observer who notices the subtle connections between family members and those natural, unscripted moments. When I am with you, I document real love, authentic moments, and beautiful closeness.
My sessions and photos are slow and intentional storytelling. I capture emotions, not just images. You donโt need to be a supermodel to be photographed.
You just need to be you โ and your story is uniquely worth celebrating.
If this feels like the right fit for you, Iโd love to connect :)
The Story Behind My Camera
Where my love for documenting life and connection began
Since owning my first camera at the age of 14, Iโve always had one in my hands, capturing everything around me. I worked part-time while studying in University and saved up to buy cameras, rolls of film (and of course, developing them), and Polaroids. I would spend hours โ sometimes days โ studying the manual, determined to truly understand how each camera worked.
Over the years, Iโve built a collection of both digital and film cameras (and yesโฆ I still catch myself eyeing ones I donโt have yet). I donโt take photos for competitions, but to explore the world, notice more, slow down, and preserve memories of the people I love.
Photography has never been a trend for me โ itโs simply who I am.
Another little piece of my story - I grew up in a kindergarten environment. My mum was a kindergarten teacher who ran her own centre for over 20 years. I was constantly surrounded by little humans โ their curiosity, their big feelings, and their never-ending energy.
Connecting with children has always come naturally to me. I can quickly build trust, make them feel safe, and help them open up. So if your child is shy, energetic, cautious, or wildly playful โ donโt worry. Iโve got them.
One less thing for you to stress about when booking a session with me (wink).
โPhotography became my way of holding onto time โ and now, itโs my way of helping other families hold onto theirs.โ

Jill can turn your everyday moments into a lifetime treasure.
I capture candid, documentary-style images that feel warm, honest, and deeply true to you.
My approach is gentle and unhurried โ noticing the small gestures, the soft laughter, and the tiny hands that never stay still.
Iโm here for the moments that unfold naturally - the quiet in-betweens, the sun-soaked cuddles, the way your child reaches for you without thinking.
These simple, everyday moments often become the memories we treasure most โ and itโs an honour to preserve them for you.
